Thank you Grisu. The Magic Comfort is 1250 watts and one boiler, the Vienna is also 1250 watts but 2 boilers, naturally will take twice as long to warm up.

    m5svv1-1 repair

I finally got around to soldering a new microprocessor onto my M5SVV1-1 board after it arced over. I am happy to say that it was successful and I am now enjoying fresh coffee from my old machine again. I bought a used Saeco Magic Comfort to get me by while my Vienna was broken, and I have...

The email address is no longer valid. I will purchase a replacement board from the Ukraine seller and see if I can get the board to return to service. Thank you.

    m5svv1-1 repair

Thanks Harry. I measure 46 ohms at pins 28 & 14. Would you recommend ordering a replacement aftermarket microprocessor, such as this one? http://www.olx.ua/obyavlenie/protsessor-na-platu-saeco-vienna-spidem-kofemashina-IDdXtki.html Do you think it would be likely that other parts of the board...

No, no signs of life apart from the power LED and the relay clicks. No test mode, no red light when microswitches open.

    m5svv1-1 repair

In my first post I attached an image of the board, and circled the suspect area. The point of damage is tiny, but bare copper can be seen under a magnifying glass. The circuit is still complete, but it appears has shorted in this area.

    m5svv1-1 repair

Be careful - there is a high electric shock hazard. The board does not divide low (5 VDC) und high (230 VAC) voltage areas. Yes, I am very careful. The board has laquer on it which helps with waterproofing + electrocution, but makes testing hard.

I'm getting 8.3V at the cap, and 5.02 at the voltage regulator. Would you be able to offer any advice on how to proceed? Thank you for helping me with this problem.

Hi Harry. Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately I am not skilled at testing electronics. Could you tell me where on the board to test for 5 VDC? Thank you, Tony.

    m5svv1-1 repair

Hi folks. I have a Spidem Trevi (same as a Saeco Vienna Plus) with the m5svv1-1 board. I'm certain my board has died - when I turn the unit on, the power LED lights up, but nothing happens. It will not go into test mode, and removing the dump drawer, drip tray, or opening the door does not...
