Hello everyone, does anyone know where I can buy parts for my SM8889/00 that ships to the US? Somewhere on this site I found an old list of Saeco supplier from 2007 and I found this vendor and it appears they ship to the US, is anyone familiar with this vendor? https://www.ersatzteileshop24.at/kaffeemaschine-ersatzteile.html Thanks for reading

Please don't laugh but I don't know yet. You're right I did a little more research and I did find some parts available in the US. Here is my situation, I made an earlier post on the Xelsis SM section: https://saeco-support-forum.de/threads/sm8889-00-repair.65393/ I'm trying to determine if I should accept Saeco/US offer or should I keep my SM8889/00 and repair myself. Part availability is crucial of course and I'm trying to make the right decision.
Thanks for your reply and if you have any further recommendations it would be appreciated.

First decalcificate with an amidosulfonic acid decalcifier. Than completely disassemble the brew group and clean it thoroughly. Replace all seals in the brew group and water inlet paths. And if problems persist, consider the “downgrade” offer from Saeco/US.

I just ordered Durgol, it contains the chemical you suggested and I've also seen it recommended on the forum, that it's better than the Saeco/Phillips descaler. Are there any special instructions that you may recommend that's not written on the bottle?
It's so frustrating, one shot will be fine, the next shot nothing, and sometimes something in between. After reading through the forums I'm thinking either the flow selector (also known as turbine) or maybe the pump, both parts I can purchase from US vendors. On the other hand it is possible it could be the main control board eg cold solder joint, something that is not available in the US? (I know, I'm a too negative thinker )
Again, thank you for your help and advice, also a shoutout to Watchmaker, another expert on the forum.

ok, 1 part Durgal to 3 parts of water and then put machine in descaler mode, correct? No soaking or unplugging the machine to soak or anything drastic right?
Thanks,
Bill

Just do what display tells.
Cold water only! Otherwise it will be to strong and may damage the machine.
First step start descaler mode.
Download the manual and use it!

Oh I know the normal procedure and always used the Saeco/Phillips solution, the problem is according to comments I've read is their solution isn't very useful.
Thank you

I used the Durgal solution and there was no improvement. I'm thinking maybe the pump? The counter on the machine is at about 5,000 drinks, it seems a bit early for the seals to be worn I think but I think it's worth a try. Before I was thinking it couldn't be the pump since the frothing function is working fine but now I'm thinking that the frothing function probably requires much less pressure. Anyway I purchased a Ulka repair kit and it should arrive in a few days.
