The steam and water discharge tubing on my machine (quite a few years old!) has a 3cm long split in the small metal tube, around where it attaches to the inside of the machine. As a result, water and steam leaks when the machine operates. The split is nice and clean and makes me wonder if it was designed to be this way....otherwise, I suppose I simply need to replace this part? I'm not very good technically, and certainly not capable at all in German....hopefully someone can help. Thank you.

this kind of steam tubes rather often produces splits as you described.
I assume you only have to exchange it too.

Unfortunately this machine type is not very common.

Danke.....thank you for your reply. I'm finding that this part is no longer available in Canada, or maybe even the U.S. I suppose I will have to try a European supplier or else throw out the machine.
