Hello everyone, just over two years ago I purchased and imported to the US a SM8889/00 from Spain. Just before the two year warranty expired I've been experiencing problems. I've been experiencing inconsistent espresso shots but the milk and froth system is working fine. Sometimes I'd draw a shot and receive nothing, the next one would be fine. I contacted Phillips/Saeco US for warranty service and as it turns out they claimed that they cannot repair the machine since the available parts in the US is non-existent. They did offer me an exchange for a new SM7684 without warranty because my warranty has run out by now. To me it's a downgraded model, one of the reasons why I imported the SM8889/00 in the first place and I also got it at a great price via Amazon.es.
I'm contemplating fixing the SM8889/00 myself so I'm asking for suggestions of what component could be causing the problem and if anyone knows of any online supplier that stocks SM8889/00 parts that ships to the US, I couldn 't find any.
Or should I shut the hell up and be grateful that Saeco/Phillips US is willing to make an exchange for a US model.
Any feedback will be appreciated, thanks.
