SUP016E Turns into a click machine

greetings to everyone!

i must thank everyone that helped me with my past "Blocked unit" posts, i got my machine up and working... however after a while the machine randomly starts to make fast clicks, as if the solenoid that controls the mill coffee dosage were turning on and off repeatedly, on the panic... the first time this happened i turned the machine off, then on again and the clicking was gone, that was 2 days ago, now it has done it again, i tried to switch to energy save mode but no luck, so i turned the machine off and on and the loud clicking disappeared.

During this clicks the machine displays either "heating" or "product select machine ready"
it has done this when i first start the machine, or after a while before going to energy save mode.

if anyone has any clues i will much appreciate it.

Hi,

Probably you have got an unstable 5 VDC power supply. Change the 470 µF/ 35 V /85°C electrolytic capacitor with a new one .... 470 µF /35 V / but 105°C.
Electrolytic capacitors loose capacitance in a hot environment.
