so try (when you have some time and it is comfortable for you) to move to a limit switch (LED is on), remove JP15, travel further in this direction until gear is in right position and reconnect jp15.

Normaly this procedure will help....

Hi Guys !

I have tried, tried and tried to place gear (see up).
Each time always same result : gear goes in a wrong position (it seems to be café position(brüshtellung position)) see picture1 and picture2
After translate as good as possible and reading carefuly the notice sent with spare micro-controller (V3.10) i am able to turn gear clockwise and reverse.
But i can't place gear in right position.
So, I have oppened the gear box to have a look.
In order to insert brewing unit, I have placed gear in right position; i think (picture3).
After switching on, gear runs to the same wrong position (picture2).

I don't know what is the strategy to place gear right but i'm surprise to not see a contact on neutral position. Is strategy on steps timing?
It seems that I can't place the micro-controller in learning mode.
Is there a special procedure for this micro-controller?
By pressing some switch is there a reset mode wich erase the bad position?
What i am doing wrong?
Any idea would be welcome.

check both switches:

measure the resistance and switch each of them about ten times.

The result must be nearly the same at all measurements.

The switch must be open if the gear is in the middle position.

Hello ksb,

Switching a lot, always around 1 Ohm on each switch.

Voltage on JP15:
Open circuit on each switch : nearly 5V
Short circuit : 0V

----> Normal

Is the motor running in the direction requested?

Is it possible that the motor wires are wrong connected?

JP8: blue-red-yellow-yellow
motor : red on right position
blue on left position. (upper view)


In test mode:

- when I push dampf+Coffemiddle : gear turns clockwise
- when I push dampf+Coffeminimum: gear turns anti-clockwise

Normally clockwise should goes to brüshstellung so, you are right : red and blue could be inverted.

Bravo ksb!
After inverting polarity, the gear has gone to right position(I should have been more rigorous!)
The last owner tried surely to repair it (like me), that could explain the bad wiring.
As i bought it on Ebay for 11euros and it was faulty i have to spend some time trying to repair it!
An other step has been done with your help, however the story is not finished.
To morrow i will try with café and tell you.

IT WORKS, and well.
Café is very good with crema.
However:
I'd like to clean the mahlwerk.
So, If you could send me tutorial or link it would be fine.
I can't use dampf function because i have not the part 35 and 36 showns on the picture.
If somebody could send me an address to buy buy Paypal, i take it.
It was a pleasure to invastigate on this coffee machine, not easy for me (Goethe language) but very interesting.
I'd like to give many thanks for people who help me, specially ksb who help me at the not to become crazy.
