Sorry because I am writing in English, but I don't know German.

I have Delonghi PrimaDonna S coffee machine. Last week, while the machine was in ready state, suddenly I heard weird "explosion" sound, and after that the display had its backlight on, without any output (no characters).
I disassembled the machine and I took out the power and display PCBs, I powered them on outside of the machine and I noticed that the PIC16F916, on the display board was overheating. Then I checked continuity with my multimeter between Vss and Vdd on the PIC and there was short circuit. I inspected the other components on both PCBs and I didn't found anything wrong with them. So I suspect that the problem is this PIC, so I want to replace it. But I need the firmware to flash on the new one.
Also I noticed that the power board has another PIC on it (PIC18LF4525), and I was curious what is the function of the both PICs?

Only the dump is not helpful.
If someone need it, he need also the type of maschine and the deLonghi-code of the power board.
Make a picture from the power board, from the label on it and put it into the zip-file.
Rename the zip-file with type of maschine (for example ESAM6700_EX1), type of software version and delonghi-code, than it is perfect!

Dear Ljupce, was you suceeded in solving the problem? I would be pleased if you reply here or to private.
The point is that I met the same short power circuit of PIC16F916 in display board of ecam23.450. This CM in many details is very similar to 26.455. A time ago I caught short circuit feed of processor on main board during re-firmware and thought it would be single one. But now after changing the main chip PIC18F4525 I found that power voltages (should be 5 and 20V) continued to be low (4.2 and 15). After checking display board I found short feed circuit of its processor as well. Unfortunately I did not think to check it up when extracted main board. So I will change PIC16F916 after bought but now I am begining to look for display's chip firmware. Thank to this forum I have found principal schem namely of this display module, so I can do many things consciously. Visually all other elements look virgin on both boards so I hope only processors were burned.
May be someone have firmware (or dump) for display’s processor of ecam23.450? Sticker-code's photo is applied. I will highly appreciate your help.

I am still waiting for the PIC to arrive, so I haven't solved the problem yet.

Thank you for link, i could try couple of them only after getting the PIC. Hope it will come in a week-10days. At first glance codes of that display boards are different from mine, although I hope it is not very principal for the task.

In the link you gave there are 3 dumps of PIC16F916 for display board of 23.450. Comparing them by Total Commander two .hex files are absolutely equal, the third differs from them only in one simbol. Codes of all them are different, so I think the first pair will suite to my board.

Today I desoldered old PIC from the board and found out that there is also another one IC, with label ATMLH242 with short between the power pins. I searched online with the labels on this IC, and I think it is serial EEPROM, but I don't know its size and which data it holds. Does anyone know what this IC really is and if it is EEPROM what data does it hold? The photo of the ATMLH242 IC is attached bellow.

It begins to be look as that simple replacing of two PIC's will not restore the functionality. I am speaking and about my case as well. Yes, on display board there are two MC else except of PIC - one EEPROM (in my board M24256-BW) the second - M41T00 - serial real-time clock. I guess the EEPROM serves for clock functions. Both are powered by the same 5V. In my board power pins of these two MC's are not shorted, but it may mean nothing. If the reason of the boomps (reversing 5V power voltages while one pole is connected to 220V line - условная ground) makes shorting of power pins of PIC's in other MC's it can make another effect - to simply brake internal power circuit. Besides display board that f**king 220V_GROUND is on three MC's on power board and on all power switches. So I guess we may meet an interesting performance in further. The only thing that while inspires some hope is that low power adapter is not damaged and works. Although as I think it is protected by diods.

After several days of work, I realised it's time to stop with the repair. After changing both the PIC and the EEPROM, still the problem persists, with minor changes, so further involvement in this repair is becoming pointless. Thanks to Anton Love for his help.

You fully stopped and what you plan to do with CM for restoring it? Mentally I suppose my efforts will be pointless as well, but will try to make some. At least - resoldering PIC16, although the process of receiving the chip is a little bit delayed.

It looks I have been coming the same way as you, Ljupce. I have changed two "main" chips on display board - PIC16F916 (controller) and M24256-bw (font's EEPROM) with uploaded to them firmware dumps I downloaded from this forum. Unfortunately it gave nothing and CM did not show any signs of life. The only positive was that both chips appeared to be damaged. Now I am in thinking what to do further, because I am not sure that the problem is only in display's boad. What are your deals, Ljupce, after changing display - was you succeful finally?
