Primea Touch Plus MFV

Hi All,

MFV in my primea started to make strange noise when moving from position to position. Everything is working correctly even when I check it optically it is without corosion or signs of malfunction. Could you please advise some tips how to fix this strange noise? It is something like when something is resonating.

Did you open the sealed gear box ?

Yes, opened there are only two gear wheels. I have cleaned it and put silikon grease here, but sound are still here. Gear seems to be without damage or wear.

I have disassembled also upper part with ceramic discs, cleaned everything, put together, resonating sound was still here. Then I have disassembled again and put little bit of silicone grease on ceramic disc and around them and also on seals, put together now is whole multivalve working as new, very silently and without leakage.

No problem, I'm very glad that I can share my findings/knowledge here to help other people when they will need it.

Back to the problem with MFV, I think resonating sound was made by middle ceramic disc and the plastic gear wheel in which it sits due to little ox between these parts. So when you put silicone grease around this disc it is behaving like some silencer (to be sure that it will be silent I have put silicone also around other ceramic disc). I have put thin film of this silicone grease also on whole surfaces of ceramic discs - where they are touching together (but please keep in mind that only thin film, bray by finger), and found that after first use with hot water it worm up and seated very precisely together so water resistance between them is now even better than before and discs are now moving more easily than before. I forgot to make photos, next time will do for better ilustration.
