Saeco vienna superautomatica sometime no brew

Hello everyone
I bought an used vienna on ebay. It arrived in good working conditions, I descaled it, and checked all the oring were in good conditions.
I cleaned in hot water all the parts including the cremaventil (it is the new version, the one with a glass ball)
Cleaned the grinder, inspected the burrs, which are good, and reinstalled it following the online guides.
Set the grinder at 6, put in lavazza espresso grains, and started the machine.
I noticed that sometimes the machine doesnt brew, the cycle is completed but no coffee comes out and water is discharged from the bottom.
The spent coffee is wet so the water gets injected in, but doesnt pass tru.
I wonder if the cremaventil valve doesnt open or the oring seals in the water injector leak.
How do i check it? and how to replace in case i need to?

Hello

The crystal ball must be laid down in the brewing plunger, the spring ball with the thin side to be used. False rum can not lead to open.

Can you relate hot water on the hot water??
Check if everything fits on the support valve function.
What the Seller for a description of the machine made, broken (what a) or to work??

yes the cristal ball is installed correctly: ball inside and spring with the thin side pressing the ball.
Hot water comes out perfectly, as well as steam.
The machine brews coffee good, just from time to time the cycle is completed but no coffee comes out.

ok i found what is the problem
it seems that the orings in the water injector are old..
could someone advice where to buy new orings?

Hello

I would change in your place the support valve. After two years in use, it should be replaced.
To check whether the Rändelspannschraube at the top screen is still okay, replace if not (see photos). The Crema valve and the inlet pipe to make the same new then everything like new. As desired can include the heater and the hoses are just re-sealed, seals are the same manufacturer.

I noticed that the machine drips water from the bottom when brewing, i checked and found that the water injector housing is sprayed with water so i think the two orings there are not sealing anymore.
I would prefer not to change the injector because is quite expensive and I am not a big user of the machine.
However I will change the receiver in the brew group to make the seal better.
The screens are looking good almost new no bigger holes or such.
they are tightened fine and the plastic handle is firmly seated.

given this, I was thinking about a full replacement of all the oring for water injector, cremaventil is ok, the crema is good on coffee and the spring is not bent or broken, also the oring is good, maybe has been changed from the previous owner.

I will disassemble the machine and try to make it work better!

however the shipment costs 20€
I cant spend 20€ shipment for cheap replacement parts...
any other idea?

You could go to the Saeco-Website and look there for an authorized service partner in your home country. The shipment should be cheaper there, maybe it is even so near that you could pick up the parts by yourself.

could someone send me the way to disassemble the machine?
I tried to follow the guide but i cant separate the back cover, it must have some particular way to do.
At the moment I disassembled the heater and will open it to clean, injector valve had a broken seal that's where it was leaking from!

The most annoying thing is the nose that fixes the baseplate to the outer case.
I have losen it several times successfully by simply pulling strong at the baseplate.

I was able to disassemble and access the heater.
I completely disassembled it and now i need to clean from all the limescale that is really alot.
citric acid didnt work so well...any other chemical that i could use?

Hello

Chemical agents will help you here too much. If you have a Dremel with a wire brush, you can drag him clean (or a small drill with a wire brush). Take good care of this in the groove, the seal shape, no deep scratches are, you get the boiler not otherwise close.
If you use water or chemical means and the heaters so full of suck you have a problem they get dry again.
take a case of stubborn lime deposits sometimes the screwdriver to help and to scratch it.
If most of it is from you the halves with vinegar, citric acid, Durgol fill .....
For safety, then the halves then 2 hours at 100 ° in oven to dry.

I made the best experience with descalers based on sulfamic acid like the stated durgol. It also works in cold state in contrast to citric acid which works only well when hot.

hello everyone
thank you all the machine has got new orings and seals now is making a very nice coffee.
only one small problem has aroused:
when brewing the machine leaks water from the bottom, i checked from where, its from a hole close to the power cord.
Also some water leaks from the bottom of the tray.
I checked the relief valve from the pump and the pipe is not broken and not leaking.
the water comes from the water inlet area, instead of dripping down to the tray, it leaks its way in the back where there is the safety switch, and from them leaks from the bottom...
i dont know how to solve this problem since is not an electric or mechanical problem...

For each coffee can a shot glass-ca. 0.2 ml of water into the drip tray then run the usual. Is it more then put a piece of cardboard in the slot of the door switch trick (from him) and pull the door open for a coffee. To help to take a flashlight to see where the water comes from.
Check but only the first one.
