    So the dump you posted is from the PIC on the power board (picture1)? Not from the PIC on the displayboard (picture2)? Would be nice to post that as well... Ok, so "5213215511" is the number of the displayboard, as you mentioned earlier (not visible on the pictures). Why do you need a dump of...

    So what is the number 52... of this board? Some pictures of the board?

    Das ist viel zu niedrig, also Kurzschluss im MCU wahrscheinlich.

    Please upload a dump of the MCU first ;-)

    @th3byci : So regardless the EEPROM contents that you flash, after some time the grinding time will become equal. The machine just needs some time to adjust the grinding time based on the measured pulses.

    The machine counts the number of turns of the motor of the infuser, using an Hall sensor and magnets in the motor wheel. Based on that, it can more or less measure the thickness of the coffee pad. And then it adjusts the grinding time accordingly.

    I'm sure that the problem is not the 'Program Data' in the PIC, as the device cannot change this data itself. It is possible of course that the hardware of the PIC is damaged, in that case it needs to be replaced.

    The firmware ("Program Data area") itself cannot go corrupt as far as I know... Just erase the "EEPROM Data" area for a fresh start.

    I just saw you made two posts, the other one is here: https://saeco-support-forum.de/threads/corrupted-firmware-delonghi-ecam-23-120-sb-pic18f2520.65151/ I replied there.

    And after that you need to do the "Erste Inbetriebnahme", otherwise the machine will not work. As described here ( https://www.juraprofi.de/DeLonghi-Ersatzteile/Elektronik/DeLonghi-Elektronik-Leistungsplatine-AS13200036::9530.html ): Erste Inbetriebnahme nach Platinentausch Wenn in einen...

    Luckily your machine is working again. Still, you don't need a "Hex from a friend". You only need to erase part of the PIC's contents: keep the "Program Data" untouched but erase the "EEPROM Data". That's all, by doing that you bring the machine back to a state 'as if it comes straight from the...

    Do you still have data visible in de "Program Data" area? If that is the case, then the machine still switches on. And then flashing it with another file will not solve the problem. Have you tried making coffee with "vorgemahlener Kaffee" (instead of grinding beans)? Please try that.

    Du brauchst keine Datei, der Firmware ist schon in der Maschine. Nur die EEPROM Daten löschen.

    Warscheinlich hat das Labornetzteil ein viel hoehere Leistung (W) als was die Platine liefern kann, also einen 'fast Kurzschluss' kann noch immer das Problem sein. Darum: "Miss mal den Widerstand zwischen GND und -5V."

    Ging nur das Licht von Display an? Oder war Text sichtbar? Miss mal den Widerstand zwischen GND und -5V. Einen Kurzschluss kann die Ursache sein von eine schwankende 5V Spannung. Und ein Bild von der Platine?

    It's really improving :=D

    Which number 52.... or 53.... is on the sticker on the pcb? Or a picture of it? Thanks!

    Ja, ist normal. Schaltund oder nur Widerstand an Gate von Triac defekt?
