I have a strange problem with a PIC myself. I just replaced a PIC18F452-I/PT and tried to program it. Flashen the "Program Memory" goes flawless, but programming the "EEPROM Memory" fails!
See these two print screen, both softwares give this error:

Programming other PICs goes without any problem. The only thing I can think of is that this is a bad chip or that I have damaged it while soldering in.
So I guess I have to replace it again... :-(
